    Heating Effect of Tobacco Seedling in Enshi

    • Different electric heating wires at bottom of seedling pool were applied to increase its temperature during tobacco seedling stage and search for method of decreasing seeding time and promote the growth of tobacco seedlings by improving the nutrient solution and the surface temperature. The results of the experiment showed that electric heating could increase the seedling pool water temperature, thus improving the growth and quality of tobacco seedlings, resulting in the time reduction of tobacco seedling. Therefore, with regard to geographical characteristics in Enshi, we suggest that electric heating wires at bottom of the seedling pool with 10 W/m2, 20 W/m2 and 40 W/m2 should be applied to seedling pools in low mountain, subalpine and alpine, respectively, so that seedlings can be transplanted timely.
