Effect of Transplanting Methods on Tobacco Growth and the Economic Benefit Analysis

    • In order to identify the best transplanting approach for flue-cured tobacco, a field experiment was conducted with three approaches: high-stem deep-planting with nutrition soil mode (HSDP); the deep-cave-planting (DCP); and the normal planting (NP). The results showed that the DCP could speed up the seedling to restitute after transplanting, promote the tobacco root system to develop before the rosette stage, optimize the agronomical characters in field after topping, reduce the incidence of bacterial wilt and the harm degree. DCP-mode could increase the yield and quality of tobacco leaves, save the labor cost in transplanting. DCP and HSDP used labor cost 1477.80 and 1115.20 Yuan/ha less than NP for transplanting, and output value was 963.90 and 1218.70 Yuan/ha more than NP, respectively. The DCP was the most economic transplantation mode for Shaowu tobacco growing areas, and should be recommended to the local and nearby tobacco growing areas of Fujian province.
