Abstract:
The effects of double-row concave ridge and film mulching on phosphorus content in flue-cured tobacco leaves and soils were studied by field and laboratory experiments. The results indicated that phosphorus accumulation in flue-cured tobacco leaves was the greatest in the treatment of double-row concave ridge and film mulching in whole growth period with irrigation under drought condition, reaching 1.95 g per plant, followed subsequently by the treatments of double-row concave ridge and film mulching in whole growth period (1.81 g per plant), single-row concave ridge and film mulching with uncovering in rosette stage(1.69 g per plant), double-row concave ridge and film mulching with uncovering in rosette stage(1.56 g per plant). The available phosphorus content of soil from three sampling points (5, 15 and 25 cm to tobacco plants) was the highest in early vigorus period. The two treatments of film uncovering in rosette stage demonstrated lower phophorus content in points near tobacco plants in early vigorous stage, but it was opposite during harvest stage. In addition, the treatment of double-row concave ridge and film mulching in whole growth period could promote the concentration of available phosphorus in surface soil, which was reduced after irrigation.
